The CRE is a volunteer-based organization
that is wholly dependent on the availability of large numbers
of dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled volunteers. Approximately
2000 volunteers annually assist in making our events a success.
These volunteers are involved at all levels within the organization
and come from all walks of life and represent all demographic
areas. Most volunteers who provide support to the CRE live
in the immediate Camrose area, with numbers being evenly
split between city and country residents. The CRE also benefits
from the services of a number of volunteers that live in
Edmonton and commute to Camrose to provide service to the
CRE. The average hours of service for all CRE volunteers
is approximately 10-12 hours annually with some of the volunteers
committing up to 200 hours a year in support of CRE events
and programs.
All funds raised by Camrose Regional Exhibition
volunteers are used for site and facility improvements as
well as program development and delivery.
